Sam, obviously is badly informed and mistaken to say the least. The entire NWP Row was cleared of weeds last year when the portion from Napa Jct. to Windsor was rebuilt. Contractor Balfour-Beatty replaced 53,000 ties alone from Napa to Ignacio and except for the curves the track is Class 3 if the railroad chooses the level of certification I just called a friend of mine who works for the NCRA and says the NWP passed its FRA inspection with flying colors and now awaits the certification from Washington. Me thinks Sam is smoking to much weeds....
