Just to dispell a very common rumor, the Post Office receives NO subsidies at all. The fund all costs from income. This is done despite Congress requiring them to provide service that some be cut and would ahve been LONG AGO if it was run by private enterprise, so as Saturday home delivery. There is no reason we can all live with Monday thru Friday service.
