I will be 62 on March 4, and will retire after working 49 years. I have other investments, but the SS and VA make up the biggest consist. I know it will be all settled sooner or later, but it has put my big day celebration into the derail track. My only satisfaction with the whole thing is that my co-worker, in somewhat the same situation as me, has, and still does, blindly support the very politicians who are doing this. I would never 'rub salt in the wound', but just causually mentioned I know of some good old hobo camps still around the mainline.
