Funny, that was the first thumb I clicked on. Nice.
Can't discount Tefft nor the Narrows, though. Or, any for that matter.

As for the shadows and highlight filter - that to me simply makes up for
what your camera can't process. Taken with film, no doubt the scene would've
been captured much darker then as seen with your own eyes.

As for the painted look - considering you had overcast skies, not much of an
issue. Under sunny skies it likely would be more apparently processed.

When, oh, when is someone going to simply come out with a "depainted look"
filter for use within or after "Shadow Recovery"? Seems easy enough to
create a filter that simply adds the sheen that gets lost. Like gloss
clear or extra noise reduction limited to areas where the shadow filter is
used most heavily.
