I find it interesting the read how the NCRA has "invested" over $60 million dollars. If I remember correctly, the State of California and the Federal Government "ponied" up the money and it would have been better to read who actually gave the NCRA the money rather than reading the article implying it was the NCRA's money to begin with.
OK, so operations are given the OK to start up operations. I'm going to assume that the $60 million wasn't a donation. What is the expected ROI timeline to those entities with the deep pockets? And what plans are in place should the line as it stands today find itself buried under another couple of powerful El Nino storms that blow into town and once again lay waste to the rebuilt NWP? Is Uncle Sam willing to start up the money printing press again for another cool $60 million or is this the only shot the NWP has at "making hay while the sun's out" and the printing press is no more?
This country is already in debt to an astounding $14 trillion and if it does default, then what for you, me and everyone else? Let's see, after zillion, what's next? Kazillion maybe?
