Let's see, how long has the entire line been shut down?

And how many times were there promises to reopen the line only to have those promises pushed further ahead time after time?

The once bustling economy is no more.

A lot of the sawmills that once depended on the NWP have closed down for financial reasons or other just as valid reasons likeb the high cost of shipping and no markets anymore?

The recent "slugfest" between SMART and the NCRA that still has to be resolved?

This country is in debt beyond our hairlines and yet it's OK to still give money to the likes of the NCRA?

And yet when asked about those few remaining online shippers/receivers, not a single word from those connected to the NCRA has the backbone to state who those customers are?

Hauling grain, fertilizer, gravel and wood products might sound like the NWP has a future, but who are those customers that want this RR to once again rise from the ashes & operate?

Who are they? Why are their names kept a big secret?

And whoever they are or might possibly be (Fantasy Island comes to mind), are these customers willing to receive or ship 100% with the new NWP?

I seriously doubt that they'll loosen their contractual agreements with those trucking companies just because this RR says it's back. Running just 3 days a week tells anyone that the carloads are just not there. At least not in this sour economy!!!!!!

Millions of $$$ has been sunk into this once prosperous RR. If there was a generous amount of customers who still wanted and really relied on the RR, why are their names such a big secret?
