A little off topic - but to prove that either California is contagious or is just a symtom of the federal government we work for ...

The National Labor Relations Board (Boeing) is suing Boeing to prevent them from moving SOME of their production to South Carolina, which is a right-to-work state. Boeing had tried outsorcing (overseas) much of its recent production, and had quality and delivery issues. Boeing was looking to expand US facilities for production of their new "Dreamliner", and instead of expanding in Washington, they chose to build a new facility in South Carolina.

The underlying issue - Boeing has had labor issues in Washington, including several nasty strikes. "Retaliation" against a legal strike is not allowed, and the NLRB has declared that expanding to South Carolina is retaliation against Boeing's workers in Washington. It would appear that a company has no longer has any choice in Amerika. If Boeing declares bankruptcy or can't competitively build theri product which reduces business, will the NLRB hold this against them also? I guess Boeing and other companies will not be allowed to move to another state and will have no choice to go out of business or overseas. More imported goods for the longshoreman and railroads to handle!

Government health car, the governement telling a business where to locate and who they can hire, the government owning/controlling the transportation infastructure, government employees not being held accountable for graft, waste or corruption - Doesn't this sound a little like the old Soviet Union?

Here is one link, there are many stories on this with many different "slants" on the story.
