photo locations

This is an open-ended question, I have my favorite spots to photograph trains in the Puget Sound area. What I am looking for; where one might suggest a young man in the 7th grade go to get some good photos. He is starting to express interest and his folks have no idea where to take him. I am limiting this to the Puget Sound area so his folks do not have to drive too far. Any suggestions? I believe many have better locations than I might have.
