I am glad an "old fart" as you call yourself can see where I am coming from in this. I think really my only point is that when people say "railfans are vanishing" they simply don't realize how far off base they are. Just because people aren't interested in the aspects of this hobby that you are does not mean railfans are disappearing!

As to museums, the old saying "change before you have to" applies. Time will tell I guess.

And yeah, the pissing wars are hysterical. The only thing I find funnier is when people compete over who takes better pictures or who is more knowledgeable about RRs. Give me a break....What a bunch of dorks! Freaking hysterical to see people fight over this stuff!
