I sure hope you're right. We've been counting
on freight starting up and I'd feel very misled
if something like this came about.

The issue apparently has to do with SMART's costs
and its needs to lower them. While they haven't
disclosed it officially, the Repeal people claim
SMART has a big new cost factor to disclose and
SMART says it's going to disclose it in August.

One way to lower costs is to not have freight operate
through the corridor when it's being reconstructed
for passenger rail.

How sure are you about the STB ?
