There /weren't/ any trailers. The passenger facilities were moved virtually overnight into the former Wetern Division headquarters buidling, which had been built so Oakland Pier could be vacated. Except for the Special Agents, the building had fallen into disuse before the earthquake. The crews continued to go on and off duty in the former dispatcher's offices, which was underneath the red electric trackway, which provided more than enough protection from subsequent earthquakes, of which there were a few.
