A miscarriage of justice? I'm not saying that the story shouldn't be told. I'm asking why Amtrak has to be the storyteller when it had nothing to do with Amtrak. Amtrak has only been around for forty years. This migratory pattern happened long before 1971. If the Illinois Central railroad played a big role in it, fine. Let Illinois Central / Canadian National put up the display. But why Amtrak? Why taxpayer dollars?

So, yes, find a white sheet, cut two eye holes in it, put it over your head and tell the rest of us that none of this happened.

I never said that it never happened. I'm just calling into question why Amtrak has to be the storyteller and why taxpayer dollars have to be spent to tell the story.

This is EXACTLY like the people who are labeled as "anti-semitic" if they make a suggestion that some or all foreign aid should be cut off from Israel. It's twisted logic. Say anything that doesn't "go with the program" and you're immediately labeled as a "racist" or "anti-semitic", as the case may be.
