Fair question. Lets extend it a tad. Why should I as a taxpayer "support" religious institutions thru their tax exemptions. Religious institutions ultimately are nothing but businesses, their product being "soul saving". No reason why they, as a business, can't pay their fair share of societies costs.

So, as long as I have to support religious institutions, there is no reason why you can't support Amtrak's efforts to provide a little social history.
