The discussion is going that way right now, but you're right, it won't be the same. We could and likely will build a replica of at least part of the building, but you might as well build a new, ultra modern steam engine and bolt the 4449's streamlining onto it. You've still lost the historic fabric. We are still intent on having a first rate archives and telling the (largely unknown) story of the Railroad Hospital system through the example of the WP Hospitals. It is just a damn shame. We had only 2 authentic WP buildings at the WPRM, and the hospital was one of the largest original WP structures left.
