I don't mean to criticize you or your organization (which really does not deserve to be criticized in this case IMHO), but was any consideration given to installing even a temporary sprinkler system? Quite a few historic structures have literally gone up in flames (including the former Santa Fe passenger depot here in Albuquerque) that could have been saved if a sprinkler system (and fire alarm system) had been in place. Again, I'm certainly not criticizing (I have to admit that arson is generally not something I would have worried about in a place like Portola, even though it's not exactly isolated), I'm just wondering if it was considered.
