Jeff, I can confirm that the Santa Rosa did in fact run on the OP&E, as I rode in it. Without having the access to my slides at the moment for specific details, the Pacific NW Chapter of the NRHS had an excursion planned on the OP&E in 1972, with the planned use of the former SP RDC, 10, but lettered and numbered YW 100. When we got there, the RDC was bad ordered, and instead we had a train of a GE 70-Ton, that pulled the former CP Mountain Observation Car and the Santa Rosa. Certainly a lot more interesting train than just the RDC! And the fare? $2. Or if you were a husband/wife couple, $3.
