In fact I do agree with your comments as sitting or standing on railroad tracks is foolish and very risky and potentially dangerous for protestors whether they be pro-military or anti-military or even railfanning or for railroad photography as one could get injured or killed doing so. Even those with an essential need to stand on the tracks face the same risks although to a lesser degree i.e. gandy dancers and other railroad and emergency personel.

As for the anti-military and anti-american crowd that protests in that manner they are just taking a dangerous gamble of being struck by a train. And that Peace Activist Brian Willson was not truly a victim when he was struck and injured by that munitions train near the Concord Naval Weapons Station on Tuesday, September 1, 1987 some twenty (20) years ago and he took a dangerous risk of being injured by being on the tracks in doing so and thats what happened.

My question only was what was the current government policy of responding to disruptive protests at that time?

And by the way I am actually a Republican and don't sympathize with the unamerican anti-military, anti-war movement that involves themselves in this activity and not the liberal that I had been discribed as being..

I am also getting ready to attend the Republican Party's State Convention in Indian Wells next weekedn as well and I hope to see a lot of great trains in Barstow, Beaumont, Cajon and Tehachapi Passes on the way.
