I was curious if any trackage of the Sunset remains. I know there was/is a junction --forget name--with the Buttonwillow (McKittrick) branch (Thank God for Frito-Lay?). Anything left south/west of the jct.? I remember seeing quite a few cars in storage around the I-5 separation a few years ago. The Sunset seems like it would have been a reasonable candidate for takeover by a museum/non-profit. Not too many hwy crossings to maintain. Also a reasonably dry climate for car/equipment storage.
