When I hired as a trainmaster I was administered a drug test. While not part of the random drug / alcohol test pool, I would have been subjected to reasonable suspicion or post-accident testing.

Don't understand the comment about Krebs running a company "into the ground." I recall him being criticized by Wall Street for wasting precious capital on such projects as the Willow Springs Intermodal Facility. This was a time when the industry was described as "going out of business" by an executive because railroads could earn more money by investing than running trains. Krebs retired 10 years ago - just before the significant uptick in traffic that took advantage of the merger, the new locomotive purchases and the facility improvements that occurred on his watch.
