Mike and Drew,
Thank you Milw-E74 for posting the photo of the Morton, WA. C.M.St.P.& P. station. I learned via Bing maps where it is located in Washigton state. It is on U.S. 12 which goes to Chicago, IL. In 1992 Diana and I drove from Seattle, WA. south past Napavine, WA. to Longview, WA. So, I have been close to Morton, WA.
Yes Drew, being in the Midwest (Peoria, IL.) I did not know about Morton, WA. But, 10 miles east of Peoria, IL. is Morton, Il. The old A.T.& S.F. Pekin, Il. branch came through Morton. Today a section of that line still exists from Crandall, Il. to Morton (2 miles)so that the new Toledo, Peoria & Western RR can service Libbys pumpkin plant and Morton Buildings. The old Nickle Plate (now NS) goes from East Peoria, IL. through Crandall and east to Bloomington, IL.
As to the details of the photo, it looks O.K. Most photos can be improved, but you take photos when you are there! Having taken over 130,000 railroad slides and now some digital, I have some "great to me" photos and a lot of memories with the rest.
