MRL has SD45-2 units #311, 382, 346 out running and 332, 318, 319, 328, 330, and 331 ready to go when needed. The silly thing about the batch of SD45-2s MRL sent to scrap last year is they were scrapped because they were too new! They weren't worth upgrading for the new EPA emission standards even though they were operational units. Since they were built after the 1970-something cut off, the EPA required the upgrade. MRL's remaining SD45-2 fleet is from the late 1960s and is grandfathered in to the EPA standards.
