Concerning the earlier question about the status of re-routing the SW Chief. I am not familiar with the railroad infrastructure in the Albuquerque area, but I do know that the train would have to run through Belen and Albuquerque would be several miles north up a 'dead end' track if they come off the Raton route. I am just wondering if there might be some place near the Albuquerque depot where some sort of balloon track could be built so the the Chief could still serve ABQ. It would be a shame to have to go to a Phoenix-type solution where passengers would have to drive out to a small town many miles south of the main city to catch the train.
