The proposal I have always been told by AT&SF, then later BNSF Managers over the years is #4 would come the current route to ABQ and go around the wye at the Intermodal Facility south of town on the way in. When the train departs, it would go the route the NM Railrunner uses to Belen, then enter the BNSF main for the run East from there. #3 would do this in reverse. We'll just have to wait and see in 4 years how this works, provided there is still an Amtrak at that time.
