A Belen/Albuquerque/Belen detour would take more than an hour making it not feasible. Railrunners connections, it would take four runs, are also unfeasible because of SW Chief on-time performance. Commuter trains can't be very late.

Maybe AT&SF M190 already in Belen could be resurrected to pull a coach. Click here.

I'm sure Amtrak and BNSF have worked this through.
