Exactly correct.

The siding at Newark was known as the Dumbarton Siding, but wasn't used to meet train - at least not in modern times. Rather, it was used by the locals working out of Newark for switching, car storage, and for pick-ups and set-outs. The east end was controlled by the interlocking operator at Newark, with a hand-operated switch at the west end.
