Restoration work continues on the 2479 at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. After considerable work on all related components, the drivers, trailing and lead truck were re-installed several years ago. Nearly every component below the running boards has been either refurbished or replaced.

Currently, the restoration work is focused on the right side valve gear. The CTRC homepage (www.ctrc.org) has updates with images.
