While the pulling of the spur was disheartening as track could be relaid, it was the selling of a portion of the right-of-way to an adjacent property owner and his subsequent new construction on the parcel that closed the door. We enjoy a positive relationship with the county; as a result, restoration will continue at the fairgrounds location. At some point, 2479 will be trucked off the fairgrounds to active rail.

Having been personally involved with this effort since 1982, I have only one comment about a completion timeframe...it is simply a matter of money.
