Carol.
I believe the locomotive and tender you are refering to is the switch locomotive and tender that the CTRC acquired from the Feather River Railroad Museum. It's number is 1215 and it is an SP S10 060 switch locomotive with tender. The 1215 and it's tender has undergone an extensive cosmetic restoration and is currently on display adjacent to Senter Road on the History San Jose property between Phelan and Keys in San Jose,California.
There are pictures available on the CTRC website documenting it's delivery and in various stages of restoration but a trip to view it after the cosmetic restoration in person and take your own photos is worth it as well as thanks to some very dedicated CRTC volunteers who labored to perform the restoration.
As Ken referred to in his post, the SP P10 Pacific 462 locomotive and tender are currently undergoing a restoration process to operating condition and is located near the corner of Old Tully Road and Healy Avenue near Monterey Road in San Jose, California. The 2479 restoratin site is usually open to the public on Saturday work days from around 9:00AM to about 2:30PM and there is usually someone there in the work crew who will answer your questions and assure you that you can take all the photos you want.
