I saw a very similar outfit with probably a few less gondolas behind distributing ties East of LaGrande, Ore. on the UP main a few years back. As I recall the hirail semi truck had UP marking. The excavator type boom unit was moving from car to car unloading ties while the truck was moving the whole show along at a very slow pace.
