Hi Alfred--
The driver and passenger jumped off. It zoomed down the quarry driveway, impacted the concrete & dirt crash wall, and demolished NCRy's wood shop shed. The ruptured fuel and hydraulic tanks caught fire on impact. All the tires on the big yellow crane are burned, some very severely. The crane cab appears to be OK.
There were lots of small brass window pinch latches etc, woodworking tools, etc stored in the demolished shed. The window hardware is very difficult to replace. Doug Debs wants to carefully dig thru the pile of dirt and debris to salvage as much as possible.
Quarry personnel brought absorbent cat litter to help berm off the remaining oil floating on firefighting water. They added lots of oil absorbent pads. They will return today to shovel up the mess around the crane. Fortunately most of the spilled oil and diesel burned up, leaving a small amount of unburned oil on the ground.
