Chalk it up to redundancy or what are considered "better options" available due to the Mega Mergers. Raton Pass will lose its trains for the same reason(s) Tennessee Pass, the MoP Pueblo Line and the Modoc lost theirs.

Lots of other examples too.

If you don't want massive track abandonments, don't be so quick to embrace maga-mergers.
