I went ahead and ordered version 19 of the California TT. Also, since it was cheap, I went ahead and ordered the map of the Roseville Yard. (I can listen to the Roseville Yard frequencies over the internet.) The Roseville Yard map might've been a mistake, but it could also turn out to be very interesting. We'll see. (At least it won't be an expensive mistake. alol)

I've been listening to the Roseville Subdivision Line Frequency over the internet, but not much has been going on since they're working on the tracks. (Seems like pretty major work to me, but what do I know? They're doing all kinds of stuff, inside the main tunnel, up on the summit. The Judah tunnel. They're probably working in other places too, seeing as they have everything pretty much closed down. I'm sure it's a great chance for them to get all kinds of maintenance work done.)

There's also a lot of other talk, on the internet feed, that I don't understand. So, maybe the TT will help me to understand some of what I'm hearing. Most of what I'm hearing is, I think, talk about other lines. (I have no idea where those other lines even are, except that once in a while they'll say the name of a town I've heard of. Like "Dunsmuir," or something like that.)

I guess most railfans have scanners but, so far, I've just been listening over the internet. I've only been paying close attention to what's been going on for about a week. I had no idea this was such a big deal.
