I don't get what the big deal is. This seems like a normal thread to me, talking about a really good topic----service standards on Amtrak. Delete THIS? No makey sense.

There are "lazy" employees, and then there are the hardcore "jerks" on Amtrak, such as those described the other day on one of these boards (I forget which one---maybe on TO?). It talked about the dining car crew on #5 and how they did things THEIR WAY. I can't express how livid I would be if I were on that train and saw them doing that. My only recourse would be to call someone I know who works in the Amtrak offices in DC and make sure they get on the horn to someone to make things change-----quickly. I mean, there's being lazy and surly, and there are those guys on the #5 diner. That was way, way outside of any acceptable standards.
