3204 and 3295 in Dunsmuir were assigned as switchers. 3295 was a former Minarets and Western engine and was sold to the SP in the mid 1930's. Her small drivers and formidable power earned her a career as a Dusnmuir yard goat. Shame that she wasn't saved IMHO.
4268 (boiler) in Roseville was later sold to Wetzel-Oviatt Lbr. Co. at Omo Ranch, CA and used as a stationary boiler into the 70's. I saw it there under steam in Spring of 1972 and was allowed to remove the remaining builders plate.
4211 was the helper out of Niles on an east beet train (1-406) on November 29, 1956, the last freight use of an SP AC type.
Yosemite Valley Ry. Mogul 26 was sold and ended up on the Yucutan Penisula in Mexico. She may still be there. I photographer her and a std. gauge 4-4-0 in 1982.
Readers will notice that a few locomotives are listed more than once and in different locations. I am fairly confident that these notations are not errors, but simply show movement from one place to another as was the case frequently.
With the amount of typing involved, I gave up on identifying each type of locomotive. If anyone has any particular questions, I can try to help.
Finally, I have no clue whatsoever regarding 1174 and 1179 in Mount Shasta City on 2-647. A pair of older 0-6-0 kettles running under their own power to scrap?
