Grant, thank you. I will stand corrected on that. Would have been more accurate if I
had limited it to Niles Canyon.
As to the dupes, I have all of John Hungerford's originals taken that day as they were part
of the collection that the late Virgil Staff gave me back in the early 90's. He went heavy
on the SP from 1955 on, except for ignoring the commutes. Cannot understand that, it was
like shooting fish in a bowl what with the schedule and frequency of trains.
Do you have a copy of the SP Historical & Technical Society book that came out 2 years ago?
Color is inconsistent, but it has perhaps the best variety of SP steam to date.
