Like 9/11 has anything to do with it...
If they were worried about security, you wouldn't still be able to drive any vehicles, including a truck full of explosives, directly up to the front of the terminal.
Which is a greater risk, a train full of passenger, where you are pretty much limited to what you can carry, and other passengers and security are watching you, or any vehicle you want, carrying whatever you can pack inside of it.
There have been a few incidents of bombings on trains, car bombs are almost daily occurences in other parts of the world.
So much for that line of total BS, care to guess again?
