This new station deal assumes that Amtrak will pony up the money to upgrade the remainder of the Tacoma Rail, ex - BNSF, exx - NP Prairie Line through Ft. Lewis from Lakewood South to the Pt. Defiance line @ Nisqually. My spies @ Amtrak have said it would be a lot of money to spend to shave 5 to 10 minutes off the schedules. The Powers That Be in Philadelphia and the other Washington are cool to the idea.
