All the people I spoke with at the 3 stores were very confident that Lowe's isn't going to mess with them and will leave them as is. I hope they are right. We had a wonderful example of corporate perfidy here in Salinas when Capitol One swooped in and bought HSBC, throwing a gigantic party for the employees and the media, handing out ball caps and sweatshirts, putting up new signs, new flag and all the trimmings and the VERY NEXT DAY announced they were closing the plant and moving the operations to Sioux Falls SD. Poof!! 1300 jobs gone with the wind. Some OSH stores were shut down some months back but the employees said they were underperforming and were slated to be shut down before Lowe's came into the picture. I keep seeing barrels of Kool Aid. I hope I am wrong.
