The point that I ( and Joe Strapac too ) am trying to make, is that the Espee's SD-39's were ordered for Helper service. ( In addition to the full rear light packages, they were equipped with a rear plow, and they were heavily ballasted as well. ) Where they actually ended up being used was entirely the choice of the Motive Power desk.
Based on your comments, I agree that you probably have valid reason to use an alias. I'm not sure if you are a member of Espee Tech Society; perhaps you would consider joining ??? Quite a few retired rails are active in the Society, a great pool of knowledge that Joe Strapac and other writers use for the enlightment of us all. Joe has also made a lifetime quest to gather as much information on Espee Diesel Motive Power as is humanly possible. To casually pass him off in your many comments tells me that either:
A) You know more about Espee Diesels than Joe Strapac, in which case we NEED you in Espee Tech.

B) You have some sort of grudge against Joe Strapac.
