From the above statement, you have again displayed your great lack of knowledge of how the railroad actually operates. As I mentioned previously, I know what a truck is, but I don't expound second-hand "knowledge" about them.

Nope, not a member. But I understand John has used one of my old articles in the current magazine issue. It's not the first time he's done that. ,John and I go way back, back when he first went braking (and was the editor of the Lark).

I'm really not a railbuff, so it would be pointless for me to join. Or to put it another way, I'm sure there are retired railroad employes who are recovering from substance abuse and belong to AA or similar groups. I'm not, so I wouldn't join one of those groups, either.

There you go making erroneous conclusions again. I have actually had a number of conversations with Joe.

But to answer (A), let me put it this way: If you were about to have dental surgery, would you want it done by an actual dentist, or by someone who's never worked in that field?

Answer to (B): Wrong again. Couldn't care one way or another. But let me put it this way: I would put much more faith in the accuracy of Don Strack's information, because he's actually worked for a railroad's Mechanical Department.
