Bob2 has some good points. How do we gain, or regain, some sort of necessary control over politicians and big business with their own agendas, which are, a lot of the time, not practical or logical? I remember studying about petition, referendum, recall, and such, being available, if not encouraged. So called 'oversight committees' used to work also, but I have seen these ignored by the rich and powerful. I don't live in CA, but here there are a majority of misinformed, or uninformed, voters who either just go with the flow, right or wrong, or they are too busy and tired every day, just trying to work and pay their taxes, to worry about where those taxes go. If we had true democracy, then the voters maybe would rule, but with our representative type, we really need more traction during a hard pull. Drew has shown us his opinion, for sure!
