5 or 6 years ago we were given a rare tour of the Tejon Ranch which included a PR presentation of a new city on the south side of the Grapevine and supposedly land given to protect environment and blah blah. The PR guy was a former tv news anchor in Bakersfield and i asked him about protecting the condors and he gave me a puzzled look and said in all his 12 years there he had never seen one. Yeah, right. Our son and his Grimmway coworkers used to hunt there regularly and saw condors very frequently. Tejon Ranch is a nation unto itself.
