If they want to off themselves you and I cannot save them
I will have a thought about them and move on
I (as someone works for a living) look at the much bigger picture, the damage, delay's, traumas of those forced to be involved and the financial costs.
Wouldn't it be far better to spend the wasted billions on improved rail service, grade separations, two and three main tracks, a daily train to Las Vegas NV? and extended Metrolink to Indio and Santa Barbara?
