A few years ago a former co-worker of mine (he was in his late 50's who had pancreatic cancer stepped in front of a Caltrain and killed himself. I believe he kept his depression and suicidal thoughts from his wife, family and co-workers and there was no obvious reason or way to monitor him 24/7. It's easy to say he like many of the teenagers and others who commit suicide was cowardly or selfish by stepping in front of the train instead of seeking help but none of us have the pain of cancer or the pressures of those teens. I'm sure a lot of people are inconvenienced and it's traumatic for the train crews but those of you that have such harsh words for the victims should be ashamed of yourselves and stop ranting every time this happens. Have the same compassion for these teens that you would have if it was your own child or friend that walked in fromnt of the train
