Ok. I reviewed some pictures. The NWP/SMART's Brazos Junction Branch line, which connects the mainline to the Cal Northern at Brazos Junction, has a B prefix for it's mileposts. So the crossing signal houses have B44.33 for example and the mileposts themselves are like B34 or B45.
On the mainline there is no prefixes.
That's a modern example. But I'm also trying to figure out historical use of prefixes or suffixes or what not.
It is an important issue. A major controversy.
