Concrete Posts on SP Subsidiary Problem--Historians?

This may not be a major controversy, but I was curious if anyone knows if the SP used concrete for it's whistleposts and culvert markers? John Sweester says they were all wooden. But I have seen concrete whistleposts in situ on a former SP-subsidiary line as late as one year ago and seen the same post in pictures from the 80's. It's possible I guess that it was put there by a railfan, but I doubt it. It was extremely heavy. I have also seen in a museum old culvert markers. If they are supposed to not have from the SP-owned line which is the only one in this area and which we must assume various residents found these concrete posts, then there is something of mystery.
Would just like to ask if anyone knows of the SP using concrete for various posts.
Thanks in advance. Please no unpleasant abuse like last time.
