Just an educated guess...but the concrete mile markers may be remnants from the North Pacific Coast narrow gauge railroad, or perhaps it's descendant...the North Shore Railroad. I don't have any information on those two railroads other than the few pages in one of my books. Your best bet would be to look for information on the North Pacific Coast Railroad Company, or the North Shore Railroad company.
