I'm not flaming you either but SMART and NCRA have been pumping magnum sized volumes of blue shy for so long that are not auditable by reputable recognized licensed firms that I find anything they say is subject to shall we say,- - MARKETING - - and let it go at that. Some years ago I received a copy of a report from NCRA which was designed to support claims they made to encourage the continuance of the project including car shipments. At least 1/4 of the customers they claimed would return to them had ceased doing business or would not return to rail shipments. As to he number of new customers to use rail? Chalk that one up to "Creative Marketing". It turned out to be a dream sheet. No audited financial documents to support their claims. I have no problem with the freight railroad operating as long as it is not at public (tax payers) expense. The current level of weekly freight cars as recently published is in dispute which means to me that the people of SMART/NCRA have not changed their M.O. and continue to operate the 'Blue Sky' air compressor in run 9. Now we know, should SMART become operational, it will have to be publicly subsidized. Unfortunately that is a given. And here we go again.
