A lot more things have to happen before CAcaHSR can be compared to UP-CP
The similarities
Monetary theft via accounting, smoke, mirrors
Payoffs to Politicians
Things that may, or may not come true, someday
The RRs paid the gummint back, albeit decades later, and are private enterprise[ but no private money in CAcaHSR.]
The RRs actually connected real places such as Sacramento to Omaha,
CAcaHSR will have to do better than the equivalent of Sac to Rocklin. Omaha to Fremont and Denver to Limon. Sac to Truckee was a huge accomplishment- will Burbank to BAK even happen??? I'll bet the Donners were glad to see that complete.
Can I see the plans and estimates for Burbank-BAK/ pleeeeeeze
