Waxing is a very bad idea because if you ever repaint the thing, you'll have to remove all the wax, or the next coat of paint won't stick to those locations where you don't. And doing so is next to impossible. If you want a quick and dirty rehab of chalky paint, use plain rubbing compound without wax. These tidbits of info have been forwarded to you from painters in the WP and SP passenger yards.
